Coming to Beirut: Jan 24

We were, as Kelsey puts it, tryin' a get our Christian fix while in Lübnan.

White coffee--citrusy and wonderful. My first Lebanese love affair.

Leaving Turkey: Jan 22-23

An 8 hour layover in Istanbul on a sunny day officially qualifies as the most time I've spent in the main metropolis. But I'm an eastern gal, and I'm okay with it. Summer will come and I will go.

Saying goodbye (just for a while) to Antep (via quality iPod pic of my shadow).

PSYCH!!

Oh hey der!

Yup, I’m still around. Just, ya know, takin' a two-month-long breather. To catch you up: Month One=travel! (more on that soon) Month Two: some panicked self-reflection and housekeeping matters. (summer family travel plans, the next year of my life, taxes, blahblahblah, as Ke$ha would say) But hey! Here’s a preview the good stuff you missed:
In case you didn’t already know (cause let’s be real who on Earth could possibly take a photo of me that gloriously ridiculous) I got to hang out with this bff girl...

...in India!

The UT-ID C-K meet-up in Central Asia was a crazy two weeks that followed an absolutely wonderful, life-changing, tasty trip to  Lebanon...

with a couple ‘a crazy favorite kids from Fulbright.

After India, there was some returning to work and of course more Turkey touring--Kylie and I saw us some dervishes in Konya--

and a Fulbright conference, and a ski trip, and a birthday and, well, I’ll just have to tell you more about it.
Soon!
